Assembly & Take-off
Design-review plate for an assembly you already have: drop a STEP, IGES, glTF, OBJ, STL, PLY or 3MF file and the parts arrive as a tree you can isolate, hide and frame. Explode the assembly (radially or along an axis) to see how it goes together, slice into it with X/Y/Z section planes, and export a quantity take-off — per-part area, volume, bounding box, length and triangle counts, grouped by category, discipline or material — as a CSV. Drop a second version of the same model and Compare colours every part by change status (added green, removed red, modified amber, unchanged dim). Part names come from the file: STEP, IGES, IFC and glTF carry them, while OBJ splits into parts without names (so a BOM rollup of an OBJ lists them as unnamed). Part properties, sub-assembly isolation and BOM rollups are also available in the Metadata and Assembly sections when the plate is opened in Studio. Extends default3d for the baseline toolset (selection, markup, measure, save/restore views). Serves Manufacturing, Mechanical CAD, Aerospace, Shipbuilding and Heavy Machinery.
Supported file formats: STEP, STP, IGES, IGS, GLB, GLTF, FBX, OBJ, STL, PLY, 3MF
