Product Configurator
Turn one model into every variant you sell. A PRESENTATION plate, not a review tool: it extends Deck 3D, so a configured product comes with a slide walkthrough and baked animation clips to show it off, rather than an object tree and selection tools to pick it apart. Drop a product model, then define option groups (Colour, Wheels, Trim, Finish) whose choices show/hide named parts or recolour them — picking a choice auto-hides the rest of its group, so variants switch cleanly. Author the groups by chatting with the assistant or from the Configurator section in Studio (configurator.defineGroup), then give the AUDIENCE a picker by adding a legend whose select controls call configurator.select — configurator ships no viewer-facing picker of its own. Publish or embed the result: groups and selections live in state.configurator and survive publishing and embedding. Choices target parts by name, so use a format that carries them — glTF, STEP, IGES or IFC; an OBJ imports as unnamed parts and configures nothing. Ships with no option groups — the parts are yours, so the groups are too. A studio building block: compose it before sharing it. Serves E-Commerce product viewers and Heavy-Machinery interactive manuals.
Supported file formats: GLB, GLTF, FBX, STEP, STP, IGES, IGS, OBJ, STL, PLY, 3MF
